Top Things to do in Sydney

Each year, millions of tourists from around the globe head to the ‘other side of the World,’ Australia, a huge nation that offers sunshine, good times and some of the most beautiful locations in the World.

Most of Australia’s life exists around its perimeter, such are the harsh conditions and searing heat inland, and also because who would want to waste those stunning beaches!! My good friend Lisa Dudzik was talking to me the other day about here favorite Aussie city’s and she echoes my sentiments that away from the bustle of Melbourne and Perth, there really is no place like Sydney. If you are heading to Oz any time soon and want to hit Sydney, here is our list of the top things to do there.

Harbour Bridge

One of Australia’s most iconic landmarks is the Harbour Bridge in Sydney, you can walk it, drive over it, enjoy it from afar or if you are feeling really adventurous, you can climb it. That’s right, each day hundreds of people shackle themselves to the bridge with a harness and climb to the peak of this incredible bridge to gain one of the best views in the city.

Opera House

Another iconic building which makes up the stunning landscape of the Sydney harbor is the opera house, the art-deco building which shows off the creative side of the city. If you are lucky enough for there to be an event happening during your stay in Sydney then you should do whatever it takes to get a ticket, the acoustics in the building are incredible, as is the building itself. Even if there isn’t something going on, you should head down to the opera house and take a guided tour where you can learn all about this iconic building.

Bondi Beach

Australia’s most famous beach is Bondi, it is one of the top surfing locations in the World and if you want to catch some waves then this is the place to do it. This beach gets incredibly busy so if you are looking for a sunbathing spot the you’ll have to get down there nice and early. The beach has a cool, edgy feel and it is dominated by the surf culture with board shops, surf schools and of course, surfers everywhere.

Royal Botanic Gardens

Right in the center of the city lies a beautiful, 74-acre plot of botanical gardens, the gardens are split into many different areas and sections which offer visitors a wide range of stunning varieties of flora and fauna. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of one of the World’s busiest cities then this is the perfect way to do it. The cafe within the gardens sells beautiful little picnic boxes and if you want a day away from it all then you and your partner can buy yourself a tasty picnic, relax as you walk through the gardens and then enjoy lunch in this most beautiful of settings.
